Meade Model 856A & Model 853 Reflecting Telescope System

We would like to trade our Meade 8" reflecting telescope kit for a smaller system for our 6 YO son to use.
The 1984 system is complete with a lot of accessories.

We are based in WA and are happy to discuss further

I think you should keep it because your son would love it when he is older. This would be a 8" f/6 newtonian with RA motor and DEC corrector motor (tangent arm) and mounted on a solid pier base unlike the newer flimsy tripods.

I have a Celestron NexStar 80SLT computerized telescope for sale but that also might be too complex for your son.

Posting Gary's pics with permission. From talking with him, I got the impression a straight sale was an option.

A straight sale (through IIS) is not permitted because new members need to be a member of IIS for at least one month and have made at least 5 posts.
