Now we're talking!
Sunday night looks worth a try, reasonable seeing, low winds, and no clouds. Not sure how to read the wind direction on SkippySky though, wind seems to be emanating from the Western Blue Mountains and going in all directions
Cheers
Steffen.

Ok desperadoes...
Just crossed the coat hanger - it's a really solid cloud deck out west past the mountains.
Sunday could be a bit optimistic, even if it clears during the day with all the water lying around my guess is fog will and low cloud will form as the air cools to the dewpoint.
The pub BTW is the Ivanhoe, alternatively the Victoria antique fair has a cafe, good for lunch.
I'm grounded for a few months.

We have never had fog issues at hargraves or Blackheath. The valley below likes to fog over but never for us. We have been to BH Lookout about 3 times this year and Once to Hargraves and fog has not been a problem.
We also enjoy having lunch at Blackheath hotel.

I can't get a straight weather report for good weather tonight. I think we have to let this one go too.

Then again. The weather is lovely at the moment. 7 timer is saying a tiny bit of cloud at 22:00. Thoughts guys? We could maybe go Hargraves instead of BH lookout?

I'm up for chancing it. Either works for me, although Mt BH has the appeal of no heavy lifting

Ok, after weighing my options and considering both SkippySky and Apanel forecasts (which for once agree) I've decided to set up at home. If I read the two forecasts correctly it's supposed to be clear and transparent here, whereas both predict a cloud or mass of haze hanging over the western mountains.
See you guys next month
Cheers
Steffen.

k.
Skippysky says there is some haze in the area at around 9 PM but approaching midnight its completely clear. I think the dark skies of the mountains will make up for any transparency issues early on.
