A dying star in the constellation of Corvus created this beautiful little planetary nebula called NGC4361. A small edge on distant galaxy can be seen on the top left known as PGC864871.
GSO 10" F4 Newtonian, full spectrum modified Canon 1100D, Baader Semi-spo filter, Astronomik CLS filter, Baader MPCC MKIII, 477x30 seconds unguided on a HEQ5 Pro over two nights.
Most excellent work! We've not tried this one for a very long time, but when we did, we found it difficult because it is so small. You've revealed much detail. Nicely processed too.
Thanks Bill. Yeah it's a cute little Galaxy. Probably contains the Borg lol.

Thanks M&T! Whenever I get a dedicated astro cam, I was thinking of getting a smaller chip to make the best of these small objects. Still thinking about it.

Thanks Mike! I didn't even know it was there until the other night.
Looks really good Kevin. Nice colour and excellent detail.
Thanks Pete!

There must be, but most of them very tiny. This one actually has some size to it. But there's probably more a few arc minutes across that I'm not aware of also. I shall have to hunt them down.
A beautiful little gem. I'm impressed with your HEQ5 guiding the 10" beast so precisely
It helps with it being setup in a sheltered observatory. Even then I can't image on a windy night. I'm losing about 25 percent on trailed subs, but the upside is that it has a dithering effect.
