Cannot Connect QSI583wsg to SGPro

I recently invested in a new laptop and have been in the process of installing drivers, reinstalling software and getting things up and running. However, for the life of me I cannot get the QSI to connect in SGPro and I keep getting the following error message in archaic Klingon:

"Error getting properties dialogue. Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {F70542D4-CF0B-4F02-BF49-31E8A49665C7} failed due to the following error: 80040154 Class not registered (Exception fromHRESULT:0x80040154(REGDB_E_CLAS SNOTREG))"

Any thoughts please?

Please note that all connections and driving seem to be working because all the gear connects no worries in SkyX and everything still works fine on the old laptop (not yet decommissioned).

Have you checked in device manager that your laptop can see the camera?

I don't know but I wonder if it is a 32/64 bit driver issue? Probably not because "I think" SGP is still 32 bit software. Just a thought

Not something I considered. Worth checking out because the old laptop is Windows 8 and I still use the pre subscrition version of SGPro.
