I'm enjoying your posts about this scope. I find that I'm using my SV66ED almost every clear night as it's always mounted on a camera tripod beside the balcony door and can be lifted out in one hand. So I've finally started learning some of the features of the moon, been enjoying open star clusters and even learning to star hop with Sky Safari on my tablet. Even though I'm limited by lots of light pollution, this little scope has got me observing more regularly than ever before.

Hi Brian,

They are a lovely little 60mm refractor aren't they! I picked one up from Andrews a few weeks ago and love it!!! I was looking at the moon with it last night and couldn't see any chromatic aberrations. I could just make out the four main stars of the Trapezium in Orion Neb with an 8mm ethos - surprisingly sharp stars and lots of nebulosity - very impressed for such a small (and crazy cheap!!!) scope. I'm really enjoying it and I hope you really enjoy yours too.
