Eta Carinae

Eta Carinae is coming into view again, time flies doesn't it. This is:

300x22, 240x30sec, acquired, pre processed, stacked & binned 50%, in Nebulosity IV using
SBIG 8300c & W/O FLT98 @F5. Processed in PS CS2, guiding with PHD.

The second image is a centre crop of the first in an attempt to to make the detail more visible, after resizing both 60% at only 60% quality to get them down to 200kb .
Saturation is generous as usual . Comments welcome as always & thanks for looking,
Tony

Nice Eta Carina, well framed and plenty of colour and detail
I do like version 2 seems a bit sharper
Gee I can’t even start to image this object until late December ( currently it sits at 20 degrees Alt at 2.30am in the early hours
At my image scale and FOV I don’t bother with imaging until the object is at least 30 to 35 degrees Alt
Great to see Eta again one of the jewels of the Southern Hemisphere
Well done !!

Thanks Martin, it's still a fairly low target up here as well. It was shot in 3 series between 3 & 4am as it passes through a gap between trees & my house.
A target of opportunity.
Cheers,
Tony
