As you say, everyone does it and so did I last year, but having improved some equipment issues I am going to hit it again this year and have a real go at it with everything I have learned in the mean time. I am not turned off by it being something everyone has a go at. it is there, so you might as well.
Last year I was having reflection issues which spoiled the image so I want to have another go.

Thanks Paul, improvements with equipment & processing skills keep us coming back to these targets year after year. In that context I guess they never get old. I liked your images of NGC 253 in the main forum also,
especially the wide field version, it gave the Galaxy a sense of depth you don't get with the object on it's own.
