Three planets and a conjunction

Jupiter and Saturn through heavy cloud on the 21st. Nearly missed it. Rotten cloud. ED100 at F9, SV305.

And Mars still showing nice detail even at 11.5".

12" Newtonian, SV305.

Gee you were so lucky to capture the conjunction and with good detail, well done another one for the records.

Clear all week then to watch the cloud roll in and build up on the range, so disappointing. I sat there scope at the ready waiting for a glimpse to no avail, only to have the clouds start to clear a couple of hours later.
Cheers Rick

That's a really nice conjunction, but a great looking Mars! I'd almost given up on it, might have to go outside again

Wonderful capture of Mars Kev/ really showing great detail just when most are turning a blind eye to it- the pair of gas giants look majestic - excellent capture for such a rare event - Galileo would be proud!

Thanks all.

With Mars near the meridian it's in a really good position, though small. I'll follow it for a while longer yet, weather permitting.

Yeah Rick, watching the clouds build on the 21st was very disappointing. But it is summer and was was half expecting that to happen, as it does here.
