Agreed and experienced on this one. They can barely match current orders for stf, sti and oag8300 so would not bet on seeing these new cameras in anyone's hands for 6 months.

But they sound like they may be worth the wait.

I do find it strange that a new form factor for 8300 chip was released so soon after the stf-8300 was released. I ordered my stf the day after they were announced. I have owned it for 4 weeks and it's now an obsolete model

I know how you must feel, but the STF is more of an alternative, and I dare say less expensive, solution to the STT.

The OAG has a *much* wider field than a guide chip, grabbing suitable guide stars 99.9 % of the time, plus you can use the STi for high-res solar/lunar/planets and use it to go on-axis for comets.

Why would the buyout cause delivery problems? Because they are servicing other markets before astro first?

Greg.

Actually, no, Oz got the STF pro-plus packs before OPT. Some of the hold-ups have been OEM suppliers, eg Baader.

So, you must have some idea of the price Peter???

I keep looking, but their website keeps telling me that they're free, should I put one in my cart at $0.00?

Cheers

I immediately went to the SBIG site and could not find the "enchilada" model, and no reference to full-enchilada.

Price?...apparently free..so put one in the cart. but the wait times might be a bit long.

SBIG have released nothing extra at all apart from what's on the web.
