DSS - RAW/ FITS settings for Canon 600D

I’ve been using DSS for the last 6 months so I thought I should check my settings and ensure they are correct
One grey area in DSS is the RAW/ FITS Digital Development section window
Under RAW tab
I check “Use auto white balance” ( I don’t have a custom white balance in the camera it’s just set to Auto )
I check “Bilinear Interpolation” in Bayer Matrix Transformation
Set black point to 0 is left unchecked
Under FITS file tab
I leave everything unchecked as I shoot RAW files (CR) in colour from the Canon 600D

Appreciate some advice if the above settings are correct in DSS for my Canon 600D
Thanks in advance

Just remembered one other thing, I have been saving my DSS stacked file as FIT file ready to load into Startools
Would it be better to save as a TIFF file ? As Startools accepts both FIT and TIFF file format

Appreciate any advice of comment on this issue

Cheers

Answered my own question

As I am using Startools for post processing I checked their forum and found the information I needed regarding settings for DSS after 2 days of searching

Raw files tab - uncheck "use auto white balance" and "use camera white balance"
FITs tab - in Bayer Matrix Transformation select "Bilinear Intewrpolation"

Set black point to ) is left unchecked

In Stacking Steps -
RGB Channels Background Calibration - No
Per Channel Background Calibration - No

Also my DSS stacked image to be saved as a “fit file” not a “tiff”
Once again a requirement of Startools
I’m replying to my own questions in case other IIS members are using DSLRs , stacking their images in DSS and processing in Startools

In Startools once your file is opened select “Linear was not Bayered is white balanced” the first option
In your image is in fact Bayered and white balanced in DSS , there’s no way around this unless you use DCRAW process which is painful

I only just saw your post, I could've answered all that.

Save as a TIFF at the end of Star Tools for a better saved image, jpeg compresses it too much and lose fine detail.
