power to QHY 5 2" FW

Hello folks- I just bought a second hand filter wheel -the QHY 5 space 2" jobby. It came with a serial USB and a camera lead but no power lead as I assume it was originally designed to get power from a QHY camera-
I will be using it not on a QHY so can anyone inform me of the power requirements or power pack details? It's not in the QHY blurb on the gama site.
Cheers
Graham

I have a QHYCFW2 that I power by the USB but it also had a way of powering via a 12v cable via the serial port.

Cfw

Hi Colin- the FW came with the serial connector/USb so can you power the Fw with this? It's not specific in the manual

Not sure, I'd suggest just plugging it in and seeing what happens.

If it has a power socket on either side of the serial connection socket, then it runs on 12v (centre positive using a 2.1mm plug). Otherwise, it might be the newer filter wheel (mine is old, have had it for about 4 years), and the manuals are available here.

Hope this helps
