HEQ5 Updates
I recently bought a "near new" HEQ5 Pro which turned out to be V 3.27.
I need to update it and I see that updates to V 3.37 are available; I especially want/need V 3.28 (which apparently does a 3-star align equivalent to Celestron's "Any Star" align ) - do I need to find all the intermediate updates and instal them?
TIA
David

If you download 3.37 that is the only one you need, you don't need to do all of the ones that came out the interim.

Another Question:
There are a number of threads on eg YouTube on updating the HEQ5 Firmware, about 1/2 of which state that the 0 & 8 buttons have to be pressed to do it, yet (as far as I can see ) the Skywatcher HEQ5 update website doesn't mention this.
What is the story?
Cheers

Thanks

I'm not aware of any way to 'back up'.
You may be able to find the version you want on the skywatcher.com downloads page.
Flashes rarely fail, and if something does go wrong (power outage or some such), you can always flash again.
Regards,

Thanks again for your reply Mike.
I wish I was as confident as you are !
However, I guess I'll give it a go (in a week or so when/if we run out of thunderstorms )

Malcolm,
Thanks for that encouragement; I'll try to get up the necessary courage tomorrow.
There's stil ltime to test it out before New Moon, if only the sky would clear.
Cheers

All done - no probs at all (as far as I can see at this stage ).
All I need now is some decent weather to try it out.
Thanks for all your help.
