Astro Gear Sales - US Black Friday & Local

This is the weekend of the big US Black Friday Sales in the USA (traditionally the Friday after Thanksgiving, which is today for us). Many of the US astro retailers already have their Black Friday Specials up on their websites. I checked out a couple this morning: OPTCorp, and Agena Astro.

This is potentially the last Black Friday Sale that will not have GST applied on purchases of less than $1000AUD.

Giving equal space here to the local retailers as well, Bintel and Andrews both are running sales right now as well. Bintel has their November Frenzy Sale on (running till 1 December which mirrors the period for the US Black Friday Sales); and Andrews currently has a 10% off sale that closes this afternoon , covering in-stock Celestron, GSO, Long Perng, & Skywatcher products.

With the weak Aust Dollar and the impending GST on overseas sales, I can see buying from overseas out of reach of most people. Good for the local sellers, hopefully they don't gauge or is it gouge us locals. Time will tell.
