Col while browsing an old book on scopes I came a cross a photo of a refractor about that size, under which the owner had used a Volvo wagon as the mount. There was a frame on top of the Volvo like a large roof rack to support the scope (and presumably transport it), and jacks placed under under side of the rear end to stabilise it.

From what little was visible it meant the scope didn't have to be lifted off to be mounted, as the transport was also the mount (!)

I've used a 15" f/12 refractor that was mounted on a GEM and housed in a 28' dome.
The finder scope was a 6" f/12.

But there is a 10" with higher Strehl, and perfect achromatism

The most funny thing is the text "Does not ship to Australia" and under it "Ships worldwide".

Is Australia a blacklist country for the sender (or ebay) ?
I thought, shipping can be done to anywhere in the world, even exotic locations like North Korea or Pitcairn Islands, as long the buyer pays shipping costs.

Read the fine print further.

Claims worldwide shipping, BUT...

Shipping to: Worldwide
Excludes: Alaska/Hawaii, US Protectorates, APO/FPO, Africa, Asia, Central America and Caribbean, Middle East, North America, Oceania, Southeast Asia, Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of, Hungary, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Svalbard and Jan Mayen, Ukraine, Russian Federation, PO Box

So... basically you have to be in France.
