Translation from Tak site by Tamiji Homma

" FOA-60Q is the best optics that Takahashi has ever created, covering full size camera sensor, entire visual spectrum at strehl 0.99 or greater. It yields great image even at 300x."

I think it would be a really nice scope as far as colour correction goes, at F8.8 it seems very long for imagers..... Nice visual grab & go.
I think their claims of 300x are OTT.

It'll give me an excuse to use my TV 4x Powermate and a 7mm EP. Get me to rhat 300x that my seeing never allows.

Ha, the telescope can handle 300x, but with a exit pupil of only 0.2mm, my eyes will be seeing floaters everywhere.

Wake me up when they come out with something useful, like an FC 160.

Oh, man. That's tempting. I might have to part with the FS-60CB!

No word from Claude as yet. I wait with baited breath.

Heck, if need be, it can be a guidescope (with perfect optics) on my 102

Claude's price:
FOA-60: $1560
Extender: $895
Clamshell: $192

I still feel I need to be an early adopter...

Just an update to this thread for those who own or plan to buy a FOA-60
I recently designed two adapters for the FOA60 draw tube to allow you to use the Takahashi Camera Angle Adjuster from the Sky90 and to allow the use of T2 components.
I have tested them both on my FOA60 today and they fit perfectly.

My adapters are now available for purchase from Rafael at RAF Camera.

1. M47 x 0.75mm > M56 x 0.75mm
2. M47 x 0.75mm > T2 (M42x0.75mm)
Rafael sells them now for $24.95 each
( Go to https://www.rafcamera.com/other and enter M47 in the search box upper right )
