1) 4 image pano, 25 sec, ISO 5000
2) 4 image pano, 25 sec, ISO 6400
3) 3 image pano, 30 sec, ISO 6400

Thanks for looking.

Thanks for sharing, nice pictures, love the framing and a lucky grab, or were you watching the spaceweather forecasts and picked your time to head out.
One of these days when there is a strong outbreak forecast I want to load up the gear into the van and head south to Mallacoota or somewhere further south. Not a quick getaway but I have the time now.

It was a lucky grab Jeff, and I also tried the following night but got nothing.

Out of interest I did check the forecast from an app called "Solar Activity" which did not show anything special for the first night. I also subscribe to Aurora Alert emails from the Bureau of Meteorology (Space Weather Services) and there was no email during the preceding weeks.
Interestingly I got an email a couple of days later (and the Solar Activity app was predicting possible Aurora) but there was only one pic posted to the Aurora Hunters Victoria facebook group for that night, which showed a small Aurora. So it looks to be pretty hit/miss at least for the small-to-mild strength predictions.

Cheers.
