Jupiter March 1st in Very Good Seeing

Imaged Jupiter March 1st in very good seeing, the best I have had for this apparition thus far.

Several small white ovals are resolved in the NPR. The northern edge of the NNTB is very well resolved and appears quite scalloped. The NEB is quite chaotic revealing extremely delicate structure with a very concentrated bright spot between the CM and P limb. The NEB, NTB and NNTB seem to virtually be merged. The EZ has two quite extravagant festoons. The SEB reveals a significant level of structure. Of interest in the STrZ is a region of red colorization which seems associated with two small dark spots. A dark streak is seen crossing about half the width of the STrZ preceding the dark spots, it is inclined forward at an angle of approx 30 degrees, A line of at least four small white ovals is seen in the STB. Many other very fine features are also resolved.

Have attached links to animations of my data from this session which have been uploaded to PVOL.

Thanks John, have had a few health problems, for a while there I couldnt manage the stairs in my observatory, guess things start going wrong as we get older. I still have been imaging Jup for Mission JUNO and my Saturn data goes to the research teams that I am involved with. The BAA, ALPO and all of my data is on public record on the PVOL data base. I dont spend much time on the public forums these days.

Thanks also Nikolas, Beren & Alan.
