Mars Oct 22 and Jupiter / Io transit

Mars from last night October 22, featuring Syrtis Major Planum. A tiny southern ice cap remains.

10" Newtonian at F16, Svbony SV305, NEQ6 Pro modified.
Sharpcap, AS!3 and PS for processing.

And Jupiter / Io transit from the night before.

Great capture again of Mars and your Io transit of Jupiter animation is nicely done. You must have had consistent seeing to create such a uniform result.
Bravo Kevin!

that is a very nice even animation. I have tried but failed at Jupiter animations. I know a lot of work went into that.!

Very nicely done, once again, I'm impressed with the detail you've captured on Mars with a 10" newt.

I was out imaging Mars early this morning but didn't get anywhere near the detail that you did, b***** local seeing conditions again plus frequent incursions of cloud from the coast. Often had to wait for them to depart so didn't get the sequences I wanted to.

Thanks Michael. Jupiter - Actually seeing started out good but went poor. It's why I stopped. I missed the shadow transit part.

Thanks Blue. They take a bit of practice to look right, but I'm getting there.

Thanks Jeff. It's impossible to get sequences with cloud. Even with my above shot I sat there and waited for over an hour just to get a 3 minute gap in the clouds. Fortunately seeing was good at the time.
