Though it gives you your co-ords in degree-minutes. Do you know if i can convert them to decimal degrees?

Sixty minutes to a degree, so :

1 minute = 0.01666 degrees ( 1/60 )

Good to see the "Govite's" making up 3/4 of the NT IIS group (all 3 of us on IIS)
Come on the rest of you NT Astronomers, get into IIS

I wonder if we eliminated all the members who have signed up but have never visited or posted since, would we have so many red dots?

Lost of people sign up, visit, but don't post. It doesn't mean they don't count.
Everyone is equal at IceInSpace. We don't discriminate between little red dots

Tiss Sad but true,,little red dots..

If you look at the IP access to the site however, you will find that although they do not post, they are still frequent visitors,,about 5 to 10 % post,,mostly.. Management tell me if im wrong.. run a check over IP vs User name Vs last Log in,, suprising results...

Off topic I know but there you go,

All the best guys..

Sorry, mates,... I didn't mean to hijack this thread. I just had a moment of weakness, and I just couldn't resist! Those big red dots are ticklers though, aren't they?

maps.google.com

I wrote a googlemap extension for the Three Peaks Race last year. If you want to integrate members positions onto a GM map, I can be of assistance!

You can find the 3pr map here:

http://www.threepeaks.org.au/results/skeds/tracker.php

You'll find the map is hosted on prism9.com - that's my machine.

Nige.

it'd be great if you were able to magnify it so you can see whos in your general area... that way if you needed hands-on help with something like polar alignment at your home site or help learning to process images etc. you could find someone near you who has the skills you want to learn, so you know who to ask..

I am curious as to why some IIS members appear to be living in the middle of the ocean .
