Dark and Brooding

There was some pretty foreboding clouds hanging around Melbourne this afternoon, gave me an excuse to get out the old Nikkor 50mm F/1.8D.
After a couple of minutes of playing with random sliders in Lightroom

I'll be the first to admit, opening it in PixInsight and seeing how far I can push it can be dangerous! Possibly gone a little hard but I quite like it personally. Mostly just wanted to increase the contrast further than what I could easily do in Lightroom, also wanted to do some large scale sharpening (200 pixel radius) and my knowledge of Lightroom doesn't really go past basic sliders

P.S.
It looks better when standing a metre or two away.

That's a great pic to play around with.
This one in Corel Paintshop Pro V9. Yours is much more dramatic though.

It's probably a lot easier with the original 24mp image
