Snappy Sol

Going through some archived solar data I found some .avi streams I had not previously processed.

What a pleasant surprise!
(rather like finding a $100 note in a jacket you've not worn in a while)

Probably one of the sharpest Solar H-alpha data sets I've ever captured.

The result is here

Almost a facial expression.A very detailed disc.Maybe it's global warming but up here seeing conditions for Solar have not been as consistent as they were a few years back. And thanks for the retrospective there has definitely been less Solar action of late.

Thanks for the input guys.

The image was unusual for me in that the edge/limb spickules are easily seen in this data...these are very fine features (around 1 arc sec) that often are lost to seeing. It's nice to capture them every so often.
