Lyrids meteor shower

Hi folks,

Last night we witnessed an amazing view of Lyrids meteor shower. Although, the best observing conditions were in the far North and the Moon was still quite bright, nevertheless here in Atacama desert the view was very interesting. I hope you'll enjoy the image !

You can see a higher-resolution image in my G+ post: https://plus.google.com/+YuriBeletsky/posts/DQXD3Pkghrb

Cheers,
Yuri

Congrats on the good count of captured meteors

I haven't seen any other reports of successful photo's yet, only lots of people saying they didn't see any, but gave up before Lyra had risen above the horizon

Lyra being so low to the horizon here and expected count being mediocre, I didn't try.

Beatiful image, I'm guessing it's taken on a fish eye, the distortion suits the meteor shower, coming right at you. Love the colour.
