I have been trying to take some wide view shots straight through the camera, which I have seen, and they are quite good……
The prob I have is I have a canon 405d that is not the problem the problem is the lens I am using a efs 18-55mm zoom …..now I set it at 18mm wide turn off auto focus then they say set it on infinity but on this lens it not have an infinity setting……..any ideas please
I have tried to focus on a star but very hard if stars are faint sometimes you cant see some of the stars but if there was a base setting for infinity then just set up and point and shoot all you have to worry is app and time some times when i think it in sharp focus the stars come out like ballons ??
I have a 450D with 18-55 IS lens.. infinity focus is when your focus ring is screwed all the way in on the lens.. during the day just look at a tree at a neighbors house down the street and focus on it....
alternativley look at something close and focus on it... the focus ring is all the way out so its the exact opposite of where your focus ring is!!
When I focus on infinity I screw the focus ring in all the way then undo it just a little bit as it seems to be perfect just a lil bit out!! =) i always use manual focus when shooting the milky way!!
