mystery wildflower

Hi Raymo,
My wife is a horticulturist, but she has no idea what this unusual flower is.
She suspects it is just local to your region.
She advises send the photo to your local botanic gardens, they usually have someone to identify plants.

Thanks for the reply Allan. I deliberately focused on the black stars, leaving the rest of the plant blurred. I should have taken one with a greater depth
of field as well.
