One for the Botanists

Hi all,

Can anyone help identify this flower, my wife photographed it when we were in the Hunter Valley region last summer.

The photo is a bit rough, only taken with a small mobile phone.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Ric,

Maybe a Bryophyllum / Mother-of-Millions or similar / identical to the image attached, a little hard to tell based on image. They are considered weeds and posionous to some degree.

Thanks for the puzzle.

Thanks JA,

I think you may have picked it, interesting name as well.

I'll have to do a bit of research on it.

Cheers

Google and I just independently came to the same conclusion.

They seem to have a number of names - Kalanchoe Delagoense, Chandelier succulent, Mother of Millions, etc but they are apparently a declared weed in Australia and can spread quite rapidly. Nice looking though.
