Reducing "noise" in images

I found this proggy whilst perusing another site, it is supposed to be excellent for reducing noise in images. It is called neat image and is a plugin for photoshop, also you can get the standalone version of it. Has anyone had any experience with it?

Yeh i've used it quite a bit, it's a great program! I use it for my widefield camera tripod shots, but those that do DSLR DSO imaging would also find it handy.

I've found it can make the images a little soft, requiring a bit of unsharp mask processing.

But it is an excellent program/plug-in.
