I was talking with a Meade dealer in OZ to day and he told me he is selling his current stock at the same price as it was a month or two ago BUT all new stock will double that means an ETX125PE will sell for $3000
BUY NOW OR YOU WILL REGET IT

I know the feeling Rob, I'be been hanging out for the 5DII, I'm tempted to grab a 50D in the interim. I too recently bought the 24-105L at a good price. Regarding the 5DII I hoping that it's best to just hang in there, with the $au low our commodities will be in strong demand again, I reckon this low is only temporary.

Might be too late already. The Canon 10-22mm lens I want was around $820 from some of the internet-only retailers. Now I can't find it cheaper than $950!!!

5 days ago the yen was 84 now it is 65.

Prices not rising for cameras will be impossible.
Buy now because you wont be able to in a few weeks.

The lenses I have advertised on this forum are still the same price in yen but for you Aussue guys the change in my price is 38%, when the yen was 90, since I am in Japan

I blame all of you for fuelling my panic, at least that's what I'll tell my wife

...now I just got to wait till Tuesday to pick it up
