First Light ed72 - M42 Ha

Posting this as its a first light for a SW ED72. Unguided 90sec on SW Star adventurer with Mod 500d using Astronomiks 12nm Ha Filter. Dithered and darks

I got 180sec unguided on a test shot also.

Pretty happy with this portable set up now that I can get closer to the targets than my 135mm.

40 x 90 sec Total 1 hour exposure time.

Not bad at all unguided Paul. Fields looks really nice and flat.
Any reason you did unguided?

Thanks! To be honest I'm trying to get a set up that is really portable, lightweight, and quick. So far I think I'm close to achieving that! So no PC, No field table, no heavy mount, but able to image wide, and now a bit closer with the ED72

I think I can tweak this set up a bit more and squeeze more accuracy via balance etc. BTW your drizzle recommendation works. and the Star adventurer drizzles without guiding via software! (albeit in RA only)
