A custom finder scope bracket for my SCT complete with Alt/Az grub screw adjusters.
The setup is primarily used for Astrophotography and I have a heavy Canon 5d that hangs off the rear of the OTA. Keeping things balanced on my fork mount is difficult so I decided to make a bracket that fits on the front overhang of the dovetail to use the finder to offset some of the weight.
Vey nice!
Those Al extrusions and profiles are always my first thought for any mechanical project.
I used Qubelok (square tubes only) for for my (future) guiding system.
Plastic connectors are also very useful (my 3D printer uses them).

Thank you Bojan,
I've been making things for years for cars and engines but in that situation I am always using steel which I have a Mig welder for. In this game weight is such an important thing that aluminium is the only option but I don't have a Tig and have never used one. My design would be a whole lot better if I wasn't relying on mechanical connections.
