Something that's always bothered me with Cartes Du Ciel

I love the depth of this program, and the adaptability of it, but something that has always bothered me about it the way it handles object filtering.

Essentially if you filter out the DSO's that are too dim to bother with, any objects who's brightness is not defined in the object database will not display *at all. Many nebulae are not defined because it's impossible to really say where they start or stop.

For example, if show all objects to 99th magnitude, the Lobster (NGC 6357) is displayed, but If I change it to 98th magnitude, it isn't.

Anyone know of a remedy *besides enabling all the individual catalogues for different object types? I'm trying to keep things fairly minimal and not having to jump into settings all the time to change things all the time.

Cheers

Markus
