Imaging in the wind

Is anyone else in Vic imaging in these 45km/h winds?
It feels a bit pointless but I am

Currently doing 900s narrowband subs, checked before and was getting round stars with 4.5-5” stars haha

Maybe it'll give you a chance to try out a few different processing techniques with that data.

Well done. I talked myself out of it the last 2 nights in a row because each time I stepped outside I was worried a falling tree limb would take me out more than not being able to get any useful subs. Thought you would have to have a dome/observatory to negate the wind, or perhaps a really compact refractor rig. Perhaps I should just try it and see next time.

Maybe there's a market for self powered mounts with a windmill attachment.

Haven’t looked much at it yet but i was looking at the wind in Melbourne, it was closer to 55-60 km/h in the far northern burbs.

Colin,
I have imaged successfully in ~10-20 knot winds from a very exposed sea-side site using a DDM60 unguided mount and f/3.6 Newtonian scope. (5min subs).

Only practical issue was during setting up of the portable (sort of) rig, as the scope would get blown about until the motors were started.....
Final image was OK as an A2 print.
