October Photo Challenge - Comments & Notable Rejects

This is the thread for any comments that you would like to make about any of the submissions in this month's Photo Challenge.

Additionally, if you have any shots that you have taken on the subject, but which didn't quite "make the cut", well you can share them on this thread too.

This month's theme is “Scenic

Thanks

Almost went with this one, but technically my wife took it while I had my hands full with flying (DH-82A Tiger Moth over Bells Creek area)

Photo dates back to 2006, and was taken with a Canon Powershot A20

Thought I might post this one here.

Just a view looking back inland to my neck of the woods.

The sunsets can be quite stunning at times.

Cargo Cult

This might qualify also for a kind of mechanical simplicity, a big floating box, or scenic .

No that is not Noah's ark out there hovering above the Tasman Sea, but a ship full of cars heading to Port Kembla nearby. Perhaps a few EVs. . At 400m above sea level the view of that ship is more than 50km distant which gives some idea of its height, the top comes into view over the horizon well before the wake..
