Cloudless night in Ruffy.

Good evening all.
Have enjoyed three cloudless nights in Ruffy Victoria with my Celestron 20x80 binos.
Didn't spend hours out in the cold, actually no more than 30 mins this evening.
A quick check of stellarium on my phone and away l went.
I was totally lost with a few million extra stars above me, all my usual landmarks were engulfed in the Milky Way.
I viewed the entire sky but concentrated around the Lagoon Nebula and the northernmost sky.
Binos are clear and offer amazing views

I can see l now need to build a swiveling bino viewing chair.
Happy days and clear nights to us all.

Hi Rod.

Sounds like you are having the time of your life over there! Binoculars sure are an amazing visual tool, especially in the dark skies you are experiencing

Clear Skies

Thanks for the report! I recently came across Ruffy in my search for dark sites near Melbourne. Looks like a very dark spot and they even have an oval outside town that may be good to set up at.
I will habe to check it out.
