Strange shaped stars or imagination?

Hey everyone,

Just curious is anyone thinks these stars are a bit oddly shaped.
It looks a little like coma I suppose, but only on the top part of the image from what I can see and I have never seen, or noticed, it before.

The scope has had no significant knocks or anything like that so I don't think that collimation could be an issue. Could it be something as simple as focuser slop or something similar?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to get the scope out again to the weekend to test.

Thanks

Equipment is FSQ106 and Canon 60D (Unmodded)

Looked at the jpeg but the quality isn't high enough to really see what it is that you're referring to.

That looks like field curvature. If I get a chance tomorrow I'll download the original high res version and put it through CCD Inspector and see what it comes back with.

Could be tilt between FSQ and camera?

I've noticed the same with a full frame d810 on the back of the fsq106. It only shows up with the ca35 adapter, and isn't noticeable with the threaded adapters using the reducer. Try turning the camera upside down, if the problem moves to the opposite corner it might be focuser slop.
Cheers,
Andrew

Thank you for your help.
I didn't realise CCD Inspector had an evaluation period, so I downloaded it and tried it out. Not really sure what I'm looking at though. What do you think?

Thanks
