aGent Webcam V5

A few years back I was playing around with a V2 of this webcam, results were a bit disappointing, OK for the moon but not sensitive enough for anything dimmer. I've just ordered the V5 and will give it a go on planetary imaging. The makers reckon the low light sensitivity has been much enhanced and the pixel count is higher. It comes with an adapter for camera lenses which I hope will make it easier to attach to a focuser, although the tubular body is only about 0.5 Millimetre less than an eyepiece. If it works out, it could be a cheap entry cam for beginners at around $75 on Ebay.
I'll post results after its been tested.

Been using the V5 for a while, but forget about the adaptor, wont work. Instead I have set up a Mogg Adaptor with some good results.

Thanks Malcolm, I'll check out the MOGG adapter when the camera arrives.

hi,
any lunar pics or any pics with a v5, either afocal or prime focus.
would be good to compare quality which should be hd quality with other cams.
can the lens be removed like other webcams?

The link below is one of my first attempts at moon shots. I am currently runing DOB non guiding or tracking so my planets are not as good.

It is a mosaic, there is no way you can get a full moon in unless you run wide angle scope.
