Lagoon in Bi-Colour narrowband - 40mins

hi

I took this whilst I was waiting for "astro" dark to see what it looked like in my fov, and ended up processing it, pretty happy with how it turned out especially since this has just 1 x 20min Ha and 1 x 20min O3.

combined in startools using Ha:Ha:O3:O3 and then selective colour in PS. more of a free hand there.
my collimation was off so I had to "repair" some of the stars in startools so stars are far from good, but I do like the details I got in 40mins.

comments welcome.

1 x 20min Ha
1 x 20min O3

Paramount MyT
STF8300m
Astrodon 5nm Ha, 3nm O3
home built 10inchF4 CF newt
Lodestar X2
TSX

processed in Startools

Cheers
Alistair

Most remarkably clean and smooth for the exposure.

That's an excellent Lagoon. Very detailed. You must be happy with that.

Thanks Mike, the Ha data was pretty good and the O3 nm data also provided good contrast despite the moon

Thanks Rick, if only all targets were as bright as the lagoon.
I like how it fit my fov

Thanks Greg, yep I sure didn't expect the amount of detail. Startools sure helped in bringing most out and combing lrgb in ST helped keep noise low as well.

Cheers

Great result Al, nice colours & detail - astounding from only two subs - you must have that setup tuned very well! - Going to add some S2?

Yeah good one Al, an excellent demo of the power of a well setup light bucket. Hmm, we keep delaying mating my Sony A7s to it. One day....
