Gonna have to check out the local KMart to see if they are over here !
Some red nail polish would make one very useful !!

I wonder if KMart buys from from China?
They have them on eBay from China for less than 6 bucks, and they are exactly the same. Unfortunately I am going away in a couple of weeks, so I cannot buy it now, but I think I will when I come back...

Thanks for heads up PeterM. I picked up one at Erina Fair MucMart tonight.
Cute little fella and for an astronaut, appropriately tethered.
If any one out there figures out how to deconstruct I would be curious to see if the LED(s) may be changeable to red.
I am hoping that the PLSS on his back is clipped in place. I did try some force but not sufficient to jeopardise my hard earned investment.

You can buy clear red aerosol lacquer that is perfect for the job - I have made MANY red torches. No need to find red LEDs.
Even hobby shops sell clear red paint if you'd rather hand paint it.

How absolutely adorable.
I used red nail polish once on a little LED light but many coats later, I still found it way too bright . Lewis, your suggestion seems worth checking out, thanks.

I went to print out the page from KMart as I know someone is going over there this week, it's 100km away.
I get this message.
"sorry, the product you are looking for is no longer available"

Hi Bruce,
If you're still interested, there's plenty of places that sell them on ebay.
I did a search "astronaut light" .

My little Astronaut has gone camping. He accompanying my better half to an International Girl Guide jamboree in SEQld.
No doubt he will be dimly lighting up the leaders tent each night for the 2 weeks.
He will need lots of rest after that event as I suspect Debbie also will.

Thanks Suzy.
My sister is going over today so I'll see if she can find one on the shelf.
