Comet C/2015 F4 (Jacques)

An image from last night. Rises in the east at midnight but will get earlier. It has a little tail. Nothing to write home about, it's about magnitude 14ish I think. It will get a bit brighter during July / August when it makes close approach.

Another good get there, kevin.
You should share these excellent comet images with the Comet-ML guys on Yahoo, or on spaceweather.com. An APOD could happen for you ..8).

regards, Alan.
Hoping for a clear horizon this evening.....

Comet C/2015 F4 (Jacques) 2015 June 26 1330UT. 70% Moon interfering. Bad weather moving in fast so was unable to wait for the Moon to set. Presently around magnitude 12 or a touch brighter.

First comet photo with my new 10 inch F4 Newtonian!

Nice one Kevin

And congrats on the new 'scope . . . so that's why we are having a cloudy dry season/drought!

Cheers, L

Thanks Lindon. Yep a few of us have new astro gear so it will probably rain forever now.
