MPCC alternatives

Hi All,

I’m looking for some advice. I currently image with an 8” f/4 Newtonian. At the moment I have a mark 1 Baader MPCC which from what I’ve read is good down to f/4.5 so I’m looking to upgrade. From my research I’ve found that the MPCC mark 3 has been changed to reduce vignetting and be good down to f/3.5. This seems to be a significant improvement but before I drop a few hundred of my hard earned on it, I’m wondering if anyone has any better suggestions or experiences of better options ? I’ve seen others like the Sky-Watcher Aplantic f/4 but it’s quite long and I think too long for my setup. Then there’s others that have a reducer effect which I don’t particularly want either. Happy to hear other suggestions and reasons.

Cheers

Ryan
