EQ Mount for my 12" DOB and maybe upgrade

Hi All,

Have had my Skywatcher DOB sitting around gathering dust including sawdust. It is time to make an attempt at planetary imaging I stopped in 2012.

Another post later will my attempt at 1.4GHz Radio Astronomy antenna where I have acquired a 2.4m dish from Gumtree (Free). While this is another slow project I am using the inclination bracket from the Dish and will make a DIY EQ Mount.

This could take a while, money doesn't grow on trees for me so I will take step by step and update this post with developments.

I have some skills but not comprehensive on the hardware, mostly electronics.

First up is the inclination bracket that came with the Dish. (Photo Attached). The process will be to add components slowly and display the process as I go.

Next up I will look at the pier that inclination bracket will be placed.

One idea for this mount is that on the side of the bracket there is a place to mount a polar scope. This should make polar alignment easier.

Cheers
