C9.25” owners...

Could someone with a Celestron 9.25” please do me a small favour - measure the diameter of your OTA ?

I need to buy some radius blocks to fit my scope (260mm dia) and am hoping the ones for the C9.25 will be a good fit.

Even better if you have some spare blocks I’d be interested.

Many thanks in advance ... wavy.

Done Wavy , my CF XLT is 821mm in circumference = 261mm in diameter .

Not to easy to do with a full length Losmandy rail fitted , I had to use my wifes sewing tape measuer .

Just measured my c. 2006 C9.25 CF XLT with the following results using an old, uncalibrated tape measure.

Circumference = 83 cms.
Dia. = Circumference/Pi = 26.4197cms.

Cheers

Dennis

EDIT:
Although it is clear in the attached photo, the front secondary cell and rear mirror cell end-assemblies are a larger diameter again, compared to the main CF tube.

Cheers

Dennis

Also found this old screen capture on my back ups drive, showing a tube diameter of 265mm.

Cheers

Thanks Dennis, I've ordered blocks accordingly.

The Russian Tank will have a "mid-life upgrade" this spring - lifting handles courtesy of Berlebach, a new finder, and plates to accommodate accessories like piggyback scopes, guider or camera, as well as a new backend, new focusser and diagonal with Baader ClickLock
