COM port not found by Celestron Scope Driver

Hello,
I installed Win7 on an older Acer Laptop (has only USB and no COM)to run ASCOM platform 6.4.
After lots of restarting I got the following pieces going:
CdC 4.0, ASCOM 6.4, ASCOM Celestron Telescope Driver 6.0.3...
Hooked up the Starsense HC via miniUSB to USB cable, Evolution mount and Starsense Camera powered on. CFM found all devices and checked for updates. All current.

When I try to setup the Telescope in CdC it cannot find a COM port. Yet, the diagnostics run tells me there is a Serial Ports (Registry) COM3 - \Device\ProlificSerial0.
How do I get the COM installed? Do I need another driver for it?
BR Peter

Peter,
Under CdC set the telescope settings to ASCOM.
Then when connecting to the telescope, select ASCOM....the ascom window appears select Celestron Driver - a set-up screen then appears which allows you to select the Comms port.
Does this match what you are doing??

Hi Ken,

Yes, I got it going. Seems I have to align the scope before connection to CdC.
