Which ccd

I am in the market for a new CCD Camera and am a bit daunted by the variety and types available. I would prefer a model that would suit both my scopes as one is fixed and the other is portable. After searching the net I have a preference for something from SBIG budget $7000 (that is to include all the add on bits filters etc)
Scopes LX200R 12" and a TAK TOA130
Look forward to receiving some qualified advice

Bob

The STL-11000M would be a beautiful match for the TOA-130.

I haven't checked since this time last year, but, it might be a bit over $7K.

This would be a good deal

and suitable for a wide range of options with a few $1000 left over.

Yes, I had great success with the ST8XME with my 12" lx200r, its an ideal match and thats a good deal. At that FL, large format and lo QE cams might be a problem.

BTW the ST8XME is rock solid and has very hi QE so the included NB filters are a very handy bonus .
