Pulse vs ST-4

OK, having a NEQ6 using the eqdir, eqmod software and phd for guiding with a QHY5, what is better, pulse guiding through eqmod/ascom to the mount via eqdir or letting phd use on camera ST-4 commands from the qhy5 to the st-4 port on the mount...

I'm in the understanding that if I use pulse guiding I dont need the ST-4 cable from the camera to the mount and the QHY5 essentially becomes a sensitve webcam...

Pulse or ST-4 give the same results....
Whatever is the easiest set-up for you.
I use EQMod and the ST-4 from a Lodestar guide camera.

If you use Pulse Guiding via EQMOD, then you can use Sidereal+PEC tracking and autoguiding together, which might be important on some mounts with imperfect worms (I've found it useful for my AZ-EQ6, for instance). Can't do that via ST-4.
