Arias Mike? Thats funny. Yes I
Picked that spot for the obs to avoid stray light. Will revisit all plans when we settle there, some distances may be too great. But we have 6 ducks in our back yard now and well, they can be rather loud!

I've already joked with Diego, who is a RC plane nut, that I can have a full sized runway for some planes. And already considering some AFL goals, my son might enjoy - well away from the astro shed!

Thanks Suavi.

Spare accommodation already started, a good friend sold us a bargain caravan, all new tow gear and very serviceable interior, 24 footer for a great price.

Whats the geology like? I'd be out there with metal detectors and fossicking for interesting rocks. If I wasn't disabled I'd be digging holes to look to them too. What about those mounds in Peru pretty boy showed in his first wonder series to show sunrise throughout the year, I'd be building stuff like that too.

Sandy loam soil from what I've seen Sil, but yeah we have a heap of exploring to do there. Already researching local gold prospecting areas, including Benalla, and of course detecting gadgets....

Some update pictures after our visit on Saturday. First time we were able to walk thru a fair bit of the property, mainly to check our soil condition and water inundation. Plenty of higher areas in amongst some very damp ground, already started mapping the higher areas for shed planning. Positive is that I doubt we will need bore water if we can capture the water on the land.

The place is far better and more magical than we ever expected, like a private state park. And as an added bonus, it backs onto public creek land that melds into our own, so it's actually a lot bigger than the title. Gotta start researching freshwater fishing possibilities.

Great stuff! That's the distance I'd like to be from neighbours.
