Coronado PST Flat Frames?

Hello all,

Just started imaging with my PST and a Canon DSLR using a Baader Hyperion 8-24mm Zoom EP. It seems like I am getting a brightness gradient on the sun when it is in the centre of the DSLR frame (see attached). The sweet spot seems to be to the left and lower down. Is there any way to take flat frames with a solar scope. I'm guessing no, but I thought I would ask anyway. Or is there another way to correct this. I have not tried positioning the sun in that area of the frame yet (no time during the week- generally bad weather on weekends). This is only my second try at producing an image. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Greg

For surface views - yes it is possible to do a pseudo flat by using a slightly out of focus image.
For whole disk views the DBE feature of Pixinsight has been used successfully to smooth the image.
Using layers it may be possible to make a reverse mask to get better balance?

Thank you so much for that information Merlin I'll have a go at creating a flat next time i'm out with the scope. Otherwise I'll try that reverse mask idea- could be a winner.
