The Central West Astronomical Society is pleased to announce the 2018 CWAS "David Malin Awards". This year, the submission of entries will be open earlier than usual, on 19 March.

The theme for this year's awards is: "Revealing the Colours of the Stars". Star colours are fundamental to astronomy, and although there are stars all over the night sky, their pastel hues are challenging to capture with a camera or telescope. We are looking for eye-catching images that reveal star colours in any way or in a context that shows them realistically.
We'll be making more announcements in the coming week. So, stay tuned.
