ED80 vs F4 150mm newt

I've been imaging with an F6 150mm newt but want a smaller focal length. About 60cm focal length would be nice. I currently easily do 5min exposures but never test beyond that before sky glow gets in the way. The weight of the ed80 is a positive for me but then I worry about how much longer I will need to expose each frame. Any experience with this would be appreciated.

I took the plunge with a SW ED80. They are at a really good price at Andrews at the moment. Such a small scope but it looks like it will be a cracker. I will have to get an extension tube for the focuser though as there is not enough backward travel for a dslr; I had half fit the camera on it.

Great Choice, ED80 has been my first imaging scope since the very beginning. I sold my old one and immediately regretted it. Bought another one within weeks

A lot of people get the ED80, better mechanically than many of the smaller newtonions.

+1 for the ED80.
It's the type of telescope you keep for ever, even when you "upgrade"
You can get a flattener/ reducer to bring it to f6.4 for AP....
