Venus about 9 hours before Inferior Conjunction

Here you go, Venus today 15 Aug 2015, shining at only 0.9% and only 7º 50' from the Sun , about 9 hours BEFORE Inferior Conjunction for year 2015.

This will be my nearest attempt for this year as tomorrow it will be much further apart than today (from my location)

Really happy to be blessed with such clear sky.

Russell, who doesn't! But I was actually 400km away that morning, and need to drive back after that. By the time I reached back home in the evening, it was all cloudy and raining. Lucky me!

Wow that's so close to the Sun, a fine image for your records. You get extra marks for the danger too.

Regards, John.
