Tried my hand for the first time on guiding on a comet head with PhD 2.5 and found it remarkably easy to do.
I became so enthralled with it I took several 10min subs (as well as RGB frames) but as you can see from the attached image the stars were trailed. So I took 1 min and 2 min subs at 2x2 and the stars were quite nice circles so I stayed on it for my last night and obtained about 3 hours of data as it drifted through the star field.
Hopefully I can make this into a movie ( any suggestions) to see it glide through the stars, but Ill have to master DSS again or some other program.
In the image below the comet has a nice glowing head to it and two tails showing quite prominently. Scope used 127mm Apo at 950mm FL and camera was QSI583 (10minL, single frame).
Comments welcomed
The colours right and it does have two tails - but where are all the stars?
You know I still have these in the Escargot all packed up so you can see them next year

Can't see them through the light pollution in your tent
Nice picture mate. There's some great definition in that tail. My comment has quite the crappy tail by comparison.
